Bioinformatics: Chemistry

This LibGuide (Library Guide) Provides Selected Bioinformatics links, definitions, tools, and resources for the CSHL Community

Description

CSHL's newest area of study is Chemistry. Since the lab welcomed John Moses in 2020, we have begun new research into chemistry's applications.

Chemistry Bioinformatics Resources and Links

Binding Database A public database of binding affinities. It focuses on the interactions of small drug-like molecules.

ChemDB A collection of chemical datasets from UC Irvine. It also includes learning tools. Vendor catalog indexing is included, with data for over 4 million compounds.

PubChem the world's largest collection of freely accessible chemical information. Search chemicals by name, molecular formula, structure, and other identifiers. Find chemical and physical properties, biological activities, safety and toxicity information, patents, literature citations and more.

STITCH a database of known and predicted interactions between chemicals and proteins. The interactions include direct (physical) and indirect (functional) associations; they stem from computational prediction, from knowledge transfer between organisms, and from interactions aggregated from other (primary) databases.
