Step 1. To create a new collection that you can share with others, click "File" in your Zotero desktop application, select "New Library", and then click "New Group..."
Step 2a. Zotero will then open a new tab in your web browser to create your new group. You will need to name the group, select the group type, and then click "Create Group".
Step 2b. Next, you will be brought to the Group Settings page where you can modify additional settings of the group.
Step 3. Once you have created the group, click on "Groups" in your Zotero account in the web browser. You will then have the option to manage and invite members to your group by clicking "Manage members". It is important to note: that if you are a group owner and you have file sharing enabled, it will count against the storage quota of your account.
