Accessing Author h-index within Scopus

 

  • From CSHL Library home page, click on Search Databases
  • Click on Scopus
  • Click on Author search tab
  • Enter Last name and Initials or first name
  • Select or deselect Subject areas as necessary
  • Check the box(es) next to the name(s) you wish to select
  • Click View Citation Overview
  • h-index appears on the right, with a box below containing further information about the h-index value

Accessing Author h-index within Web of Science

  • From CSHL Library home page, click on Search Databases
  • Click on Web of Science
  • On Search page, enter last name and first initial of author, setting ‘in’ tab on right to 'Author'
  • Click Search
  • Refine results as necessary on the left
  • Click Create Citation Report in upper right of Results pane
  • h-index is given in the summary information to the right of the graphs
