Books in the circulating collections are arranged according to the Library of Congress Classification system, which is subject-based. Most materials in the CSHL collections are in the Q (Science) and R (Medicine) sections. These outlines can be helpful if you'd like to browse the shelves.
Journals and certain book series are arranged alphabetically by title and are located on the main floor in the Sydney Brenner room. Magazines and newspapers are also in the Sydney Brenner Room.
