General Description

This guide provides links to resources and information for graduate students and postdocs in the life sciences. It covers several different career pathways; training and mentoring; searching for a job; seeking funding in the form of fellowships and grants; entrepreneurship, with a focus on biotech and biosciences companies; networking; and the all-important life-work balance. It provides references to books and e-books, as well as many links to websites, databases, and blogs. The Library encourages you to provide feedback and suggest additional resources that you have found to be helpful. (See feedback form and suggest a link form on the left of this page.)

Scope

In several cases, books are noted as being available in e-book format. In such cases, contact the library to have the book downloaded onto one of the Library Kindles for you to borrow. (See contact information on the right of this page.)
